THE_GRADUATE a 1967 film starring Dustin Hoffman, Anne Bancroft and Katharine Ross is one of my favorite of all time. Maraming memorable na kanta ng Simon and Garfunkel ang nanggaling sa pelikulang ito.
Sypnosis:Nominated for seven Academy Awards and winner for Best Director, this groundbreaking and "wildly hilarious" (The Boston Globe) social satire launched the career of two-time Oscar-winner Dustin Hoffman and cemented the reputation of acclaimed director Mike Nichols. Pulsating with the rebellious spirit of the '60s and a haunting score sung by Simon and Garfunkel, The Graduate is truly a "landmark film" (Leonard Maltin).Shy Benjamin Braddock (Dustin Hoffman) returns home from college with an uncertain future. Then the wife of his father's business partner, the sexy Mrs. Robinson (Anne Bancroft), seduces him, and the affair only deepens his confusion. That is, until he meets the girl of his dreams (Katharine Ross). But there's one problem: she's Mrs. Robinson's daughter.
ONE_ON_ONE 1977 Starring Robby Benson and Annete O Toole is not a classic movie pero naging paborito ko ito kasi noong mga panahong napanood ko ito first year college ako at i can relate to the movie kasi freshman din ang bida. Its about a basketball scholar na nag fall in love sa kanyang tutor. Seals and Crofts ang kumanta ng mga background music para sa pelikulang ito.
Sypnosis:Henry Steele is a basketball phenomenon at his small town high school, but when he matriculates to a big city university on a scholarship, soon realizes that he has few skills outside the sport. Expected by his coach to contribute significantly to the team, Henry is overwhelmed by the demands on his time, the "big business" aspect of college sports, and the fact that he never fully learned to read. Things look bleak for Henry when Janet Hays, a pretty graduate student, is assigned as Henry's tutor. Her intellect and strength lift Henry out of his doldrums just in time to battle the coach, who attempts to rescind Henry's scholarship.
