TULA- TULAAN MAKATANG SAMPAY BAKOD

May isang bata
Sobra laki ng ego
Nagmumkha siya tuloy
Na isang gago
Akala niya
Siya ay bidang-bida
Hindi niya alam
Marami sa kanya ay natatawa
Taong matalino
O gungong na walang prinsipyo
Hayagan ng niloloko
Kapit tuko pa rin sa kanyang amo
Baka akala mo
Ang pogi pogi mo
Kapaligiran mo man ay puro pabango

Mukha ka pa ring aso.
Awooooooooooooooooooo!

Kapuri puri
Mga taong may paninindigan
Mga taong nanalig sa kabutihan
Itago man
Ang kabulukan
Lalabas din ang katotohanan
Salamat sa mga kababayan
Katotohanan hindi niyo pinabayaan.
Parangal at papuri handog ko sa inyo

Bingi ka ba?
Bulag ka ba?
Matigas ba ang iyong ulo?
Bakit ba ikaw ay hindi magbago?
Dapat bang ako ay magalit sa yo?
O ikaw ay kaawaan ko?
Bakit ba patuloy ka pa rin,
Sa asal mong kinagagalitan ng iba?
Kulang ka ba sa paalala,
Napabayaan sa pag-aaruga
o pagmamahal ay napasobra?
Pilit kitang inintindi
Pero hindi talaga kita magets
Buti pa siguro bago ako mag regrets
Its time for me na to forget
Minsan ako ay humanga sa yo
Pero sayang lang pala
Pagiidol ko sa iyo
Isa ka palang huwad na idolo
Bulaklak na plastik
Bango mo'y di totoo
Kubeta ang iyong trono.

Kaibigan

Apo Hiking Society

Kaibigan, tila yata matamlay
Ang iyong pakiramdam
At ang ulo mo sa kaiisip
Ay tila naguguluhan
Kung ang problema mo o suliranin
Ay lagi mong didibdibin

At tatanda kang bigla

At may dalang pag-asa
Limutin siya,
limutin siya
Marami, marami pang iba
Kaibigan,
kalimutan mo na lang ang nakalipas
Kung nasilaw siya
Napasama sa iba't napaibang landas
Marami pang malalapitan
Mababait at di pihikan
At tatanda kang bigla
Pag tumulo ang luha
Hahaba ang mukha
At ikaw ang siyang kawawa

OUR LADY OF MEDIATRIX OF ALL GRACE

Lipa, Philippines " Our Lady, Mediatrix of All Grace "1948 Our Blessed Mother appeared 19 times to a novice in the Carmelite order in Lipa City, Philippines. Our Lady first appeared to the novice, Teresita Castillo, in August, when she was in her cell.
While Teresita was praying in the convent garden on September 12, suddenly a vine began to shake. Our Lady appeared to the seer and requested that she kiss the earth and return to the same spot for fifteen consecutive days. When Our Lady appeared, She was on a cloud, dressed in white, hands clasped, and a golden Rosary hanging from Her right hand. Her dress was very white, very simple, and had a narrow belt tied around Her. She was radiant with beauty.
Our Lady requested the vine to be blessed, and also requested that a statue was to be placed at the site of the apparition. These were all accomplished.
During the apparitions in 1948, Our Lady stressed humility, penance, prayers for the clergy and the Pope, and to pray the Rosary. Teresita reported that there was one secret for herself, one for the Carmel convent in Lipa City, one for China, and also one for the entire world.
Our Lady requested that a Mass be held on the 12th day of every month. Before She departed for the last time, the Blessed Virgin identified Herself as:
" I am the Mediatrix of All Grace"
There are acconts of a blue bird appearing at the vine where Our Lady appeared. There are also accounts of the spinning sun, heavy fragrance of roses, and showers of rose petals that had miraculous images of Christ, Mary, and other Holy Scenes on them. The rose petals (one is pictured on the top of this page, and another is pictured on the bottom) are reported to have remarkable curing powers.
It is also reported that Teresita received a Host for Holy Communion on her tongue from an angel on an occasion when she was unable to attend Mass because she was sick in bed. Teresita had other mystical experiences including visions of the Sacred Heart, a multitude of angels, St. Cecilia, St. Theresa of Lisieux, and many other saints. The seer was also seen to go into a state of unconsciousness, and then, while lying on the floor, enact the agony of Christ on the Cross. This phenomenon was witnessed by the prioress, Bishop Obviar, and members of the Carmel community at Lipa.
There was much commotion, and the Bishop and Mother Prioress were released of their jobs. The nuns were ordered to destroy all materials connected with the apparitions. They burned Teresita's diary, as well as the Mother Prioress'. The statue was also ordered to be destroyed, but the nuns kept it away, and saved it from destruction.
Our Lady warned that there would be persecutions; the convent was sealed, and the nuns could talk to no one outside of the convent.
In February 1990, a strange new phenomenon was reported in the Granja District of Lipa City. A white luminous outline of a female in prayer began to appear on one of the leaves of a tall coconut tree. It was visible only in the evenings. On May 21, 1990, Sr. Aphonse pleaded on her deathbed that the Mediatrix statue be again exposed in the chapel at the Carmelite convent. Her request was granted the very next day. It would be the first time the statue would be displayed for 40 years!
On January 24, 1991, rose petals began to fall straight from the sky again at the Carmelite convent in Lipa City. A few days later, six children playing in the garden at the convent saw the statue come to life.
Very negative media articles together with sham " Holy Rose Petals " dealers, caused Teresita to leave the convent in the 1950's. This, together with the Church's negative report, kept these apparitions hidden for some 40 years.
As a consequence, the Church has now set up a new commitee to investigate the apparitions.

Naasar ako pero naalala ko "we are the happiest people in Asia" kaya tuloy ang ligaya wag na lang muna yong kuwento ang sakit na ng ulo ko mag-isip uli. Onli in the Pilipins na lang muna:

Happiest People in Asia Despite the many problems hounding the Philippines, Filipinos still consider themselves as among the happiest people in the world. Results of regional surveys conducted by MTV-Asia, ACNielsen and the Economist magazine have indicated that Filipinos are the happiest people in Asia. But in the World Values Survey conducted by University of Michigan in 1998, the Philippines was ranked 12th among 54 countries in the world in terms of happiness index. Among Asian countries, it was ranked first. According to the survey, the top ten happiest nations in the world were Iceland, Sweden, the Netherlands, Denmark, Australia, Ireland, Switzerland, Great Britain and Venezuela.

91 Percent Proud to Be Filipinos In a survey conducted by Social Weather Stations (SWS) in November 2001, 57 percent of the 1,200 respondents said they were very proud to be Filipinos while 34 percent claimed they were proud of their national identity. Only 9 percent said they were not proud and 1 percent claimed they were not proud at all of becoming Filipinos. The respondents also cited the following qualities of the Filipinos: God-centered, industrious, faithful, has convictions, responsible, peaceful and law-abiding, and loving and caring.

World's 5th Largest Christian Population According to the book Top 10 of Everything, the Philippines had the world's 5th largest Christian population. As of 2000, the Philippines reportedly had 72.225 million Christians, comprising 93 percent of its total population then. Countries with larger Christian populations than the Philippines were the United States, Brazil, Mexico, and China. Most Filipinos remain Catholics. The Protestants comprise only 8 percent of the population although they were growing at a faster rate than any other religion in the country.

81.2 Million Filipinos The National Statistics Office (NSO) placed the Philippine population at 79.5 million at the start of 2002. This number is expected to grow by 1.7 million or over 2 percent annually to 81.2 million by the end of 2002. This makes the Philippines the world's 14th most populous country in the world behind China, with 1.3 billion people; India, 1 billion; United States, 288 million; Indonesia, 218 million; Brazil, 176 million; Pakistan, 149 million; Nigeria, 147 million; Russia, 143 million; Bangladesh, 136 million; Japan, 127 million; Mexico, 100 million; Germany 82 million; and Vietnam, over 81 million. About 93 percent of the Philippine population is Christian, while the rest belongs to Islam and other religions. In 1799, Spanish historians said there were only 1,502,574 people living in the Philippines.

LIPA CITY AND BATANGAS PROVINCE

Batangas is one of the most popular tourist destinations near Metro Manila. The province has many beaches and famous for excellent diving spots only a few hours away from Manila. Some of the more notable ones are Anilao in the Municipality of Mabini, Matabungkay in the Municipality of Lian Punta Fuego, Calatagan and Laiya in the Municipality of San Juan.

Batangas is also where Taal Volcano, one of the Decade Volcanoes is located. The volcano has a water-filled crater and sits on an island in the center of Taal Lake, which geologists believe is an ancient caldera.
The town of Taal is famous for its hand embroideries, knives, and sausages; and it reigns as one of the two most culturally preserved sites of the Spanish colonial era in the Philippines.

History
Long before the arrival of the Spaniards in the Philippines, large centers of population already thrived in Batangas. Native settlements lined the Pansipit River, a major waterway. The province had been trading with the Chinese since Yuan Dynasty until first phase of Ming Dynasty in the 13th and 15th century. Inhabitants of the province were also trading with Japan and India.
The present BatangueƱos are descendants of the Bornean datus, Datu Dumangsil and Datu Balensusa, who sailed from Borneo to Panay Island as far as Taal Lake. They organized the first Malay settlement at the mouth of Taal River. They eventually set up their own settlement in the place and founded the town of Taal in 1572. The towns of Balayan, Lipa, and Batangas were founded later.
In 1570, Spanish generals Martin de Goiti and Juan de Salcedo explored the coast of Batangas on their way to Manila and came upon a Malay sttlement at the mouth of Taal River. In 1572, the town of Taal was founded and its convent and stone church were constructed later.
Batangas was founded in 1581. Originally, it was composed of the present provinces of Batangas, Mindoro, Marinduque, southeast Laguna and Camarines. After several devastating eruptions of Taal Volcano, the smallest volcano in the world, the old Taal town site was buried. The capital was eventually transferred to Batangas (now a city) in 1754 where it has remained to date.
The name "Batangas" was derived from the word "batang," which is a term of the natives for the numerous logs found in the Calumpang River, the body of water that runs through the northeastern portion of the town and assumes the shape of a tuning fork.
Batangas was also among the first of the eight Philippine provinces to revolt against Spain and also one of the provinces placed under Martial Law by Spanish Governor General Ramon Blanco on August 30, 1896.
During the Spanish-American War, many BatangueƱos made their mark on history. Most notable of them are Apolinario Mabini, also known as the sublime paralytic and "Brains of the Revolution"; Marcela Agoncillo who made the present Philippine flag, and General Miguel Malvar who was recognized as the last Filipino general to surrender to the United States in the Philippine-American War.
Batangas first came to be known as Bonbon. It was named after the mystical and fascinating Taal Lake, which was also originally called Bonbon. Some of the earliest settlements in Batangas were established at the vicinity of Taal Lake.
In 1534, Batangas became the first practically organized province in Luzon. Balayan was the capital of the province for 135 years from 1597-1732. In 1732, it was moved to Taal, then the flourishing and most progressive town in the province.
Batangas was also one of the few provinces in the country which can boast of having a distinctive culture of its own. The song and dance repertoire called "kumintang" is of Batangas origin. Because of this, it came to be known as "La Provincia del Cumintang".

OCTOBER 5 - GABRIEL'S BIRTHDAY

Seasons In The Sun

( Terry Jacks )
Goodbye to you my trusted friend
We've known each other since we were nine or ten
Together we climbed hills and trees
Learned of love and A B C's
Skinned our hearts and skinned our knees.

Goodbye my friend it's hard to die
When all the birds are singing in the sky
Now that the spring is in the air
Pretty girls are everywhere
Think of me and I'll be there

We had joy we had fun
We had seasons in the sun
But the hills that we climbed
were just seasons
Out of time......

Goodbye Papa please pray for me
I was the black sheep of the family
You tried to teach me right from wrong
Too much wine and too much song
Wonder how I got along.

Goodbye Papa its hard to die
When all the birds are singing in the sky
Now that the spring is in the air
Little children everywhere
When you see them I'll be there.

We had joy we had fun
We had seasons in the sun
But the wine and the song like the seasons
Have all gone.

We had joy we had fun
We had seasons in the sun
But the wine and the song like the seasons
Have all gone.

Goodbye Michelle my little one
You gave me love and helped me find the sun
And every time that I was down
You would always come around
And get my feet back on the ground.

Goodbye Michelle it's hard to die
When all the birds are singing in the sky
Now that the spring is in the air
With the flowers everywhere
I wish that we could both be there

We had joy we had fun
We had seasons in the sun
But the stars we could reach
Were just starfish on the beach

We had joy we had fun
We had seasons in the sun
But the stars we could reach
Were just starfish on the beach

We had joy we had fun
We had seasons in the sun
But the wine and the song like the seasons
Have all gone

All our lives we had fun
We had seasons in the sun
But the hills that we climbed
were just seasonsOut of time......

We had joy we had fun
We had seasons in the sun

CANADA IMMIGRATION

Canada immigration minister wants major changes 27 September 2005 Canada's Immigration Minister is pushing for major changes to the country's immigration system, according to government sources. If the changes are accepted, Canada will be bringing in more than 300,000 immigrants a year within five years, including more tradespeople such as pipefitters and truck drivers. The plan would eventually mean an increase of about 35 percent from current levels of more than 220,000 permanent residents a year. It also includes recruiting more people to work outside the largest cities and giving permanent status to more foreign nationals already here, such as university graduates who came on student visas. Immigration Minister Joe Volpe confirmed that he is preparing a proposal for the cabinet to decide on in October that includes those elements and "many more people," although he declined to give details. Other government sources indicated that Mr. Volpe has already made one presentation to cabinet on expanding the system, and is preparing a more specific proposal that includes multiyear targets for immigration that will within five years increase the numbers to at least 1 per cent of the population — more than 300,000. Prime Minister Paul Martin called for more immigration in a speech on 27 Sept., and Mr. Volpe said the government is discussing the details to be included in his department's annual plan, which must be submitted by Nov. 1. "[Mr. Martin] outlined an important vision statement that includes, as part, the work of my department," Mr. Volpe said in an interview. Provincial representatives, businesses, unions and others want changes in immigration, he said: "Give us more, and give us more of it around the country and make it fit the needs." Sources say Mr. Volpe intends to change the current practice of issuing a one-year target for the number of immigrants to multiyear targets to meet or exceed 1 per cent within five years. Although it will not scrap the current immigration system, which emphasizes university degrees, French and English-language skills, and ties to Canada, the new proposal would make more openings for tradespeople, in part through an expanded local and provincial role in selecting immigrants. He said that among other things, Canada's immigration system must fill a need for workers in local markets. "In some cases, it's just things that Canadians have lost the custom of doing," he said. "The one that comes up all the time is truck drivers." He said his department has focused on five themes: * Increasing the overall numbers. * Providing better service both in bringing in immigrants and issuing visas. * Matching immigrants with jobs needed to fill gaps in local markets. That also means allowing potential immigrants to get matching credentials in Canada before they apply, or before they are accepted. * Regionalizing so that areas outside major centres can recruit people they need. Mr. Volpe said that many communities envy the numbers that head to Toronto, because they see it as a "wealth-creation dynamic." * Keeping people who are already in Canada, for example by making it easier for people with student visas to stay after they graduate.

Napakaraming requisitos at pabago-bago policy.
